The US military has seized the M/T Tifani, a tanker under sanctions, in the Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) area of responsibility and conducted an inspection, the Pentagon said.

The respective statement, posted on X, said that the US military boarded the aforesaid ship without incident. It added that that the tanker had no country markings.

The Pentagon stressed that the US will continue to disrupt supply chains that Washington considers illegal and linked to material assistance for Iran.
