The Israeli embassy in Azerbaijan has issued a statement on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Israel's independence.
"We in [the Azerbaijani capital of] Baku proudly celebrate the 78th anniversary of Israel's independence and sincerely hope that the friendship and cooperation between Israel and Azerbaijan will be further strengthened in the future," the statement said, in particular.
