On April 23, a formal ceremony dedicated to the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the City Hall of Paris’s 9th arrondissement, with Armenia’s Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan in attendance, according to the embassy.

Speeches were delivered, and Ambassador Arman Khachatryan and the Mayor of the 9th arrondissement of Paris, Delphine Bürkli, laid wreaths. Wreaths were also laid by members of parliament and several organizations.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Mayor of the 9th arrondissement, Alexis Govciyan, members of the Paris City Council, representatives of French-Armenian community organizations, and various French associations.

The national anthems of Armenia, Europe, and France were performed during the ceremony.

On the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the flag of the Republic of Armenia was raised on the building of the 9th arrondissement City Hall.
