The Embassy of Armenia in Sweden, together with the Sweden-Armenia parliamentary friendship group, on Thursday held a solemn ceremony at the Swedish parliament, the Riksdag, marking the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the embassy informed. In a ceremony featuring music by Komitas and a screening of the docudrama Map of Salvation, Armenian Ambassador Anna Aghadjanian, Members of Riksdag Bjorn Soder and Arin Karapet reflected on shared responsibility to prevent future atrocities.
The ambassador highlighted Armenia’s commitment to international genocide prevention and its ongoing efforts to build lasting regional peace through normalized relations with its neighbors. Also, a special tribute was paid to the Nordic missionaries whose humanitarian legacy continues to inspire today.
