An unfortunate accident occurred Saturday at Armenia’s Akhtala Mine Enrichment Plant. Garik Aghchyan, 22, a worker in the Plant’s mine, died in the very same mine at around 12:30 p.m.

In an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, the Plant’s External Relations Director Shahnazaryan gave the details of the incident and said: “The electrical haul’s antograph had moved during the vibration of the ore, Garik took his head and body out of the cabin to straighten it, [and at that time] the stone hit his head and pressed him against the sidewall.”       

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that Garik Aghchyan had moved to Akhtala close to two months ago, from Spitak city, to live and work there.
