ANKARA. – Turkish President Abdullah Gul came up with a statement related to the decision of France’s Constitutional Council.

As the Turkish Posta informs, the Turkish president mentioned that only the two countries can solve the historical argument existing between them.

“It is wrong when third party interferes. It does not help, moreover, it leads to a dead end. Turkey had come up with a very bold proposal about creating a joint commission of historians,” the Turkish president said.

According to Gul, the French Constitutional Council saved France’s honor with its decision.
