ROME. – Unique, old and confidential documents of Vatican are exhibited for the first time in Rome.

Over hundreds of priceless documents are exhibited in the Lux in Arcana (Light in Secret) expo of famous Secret Papal Archives covering more than 15 centuries of European and the world history, Pravda.ru reports. To note, the Vatican archives contain information on the Armenian Genocide as well.

Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed that the keeper of the secret archives of Vatican said in the interview with the Turkish Vatan Agency last year that the 2012 exhibition will present a book with documents and information on the Armenian Genocide.

“We entered the Armenian villages and killed everybody, we were given an order to kill all people without taking into account their sex or age,” an extract from a Turkish soldier’s testimony named Mustafa Suleiman reads.

The keeper stressed that Pope Leo XIII at that time called on Turkey to stop the Genocide.
