An earthquake rattled the Province of Van, Turkey, on Saturday at 6:39 a.m. local time (8:39 a.m. Armenia time). 

The tremor measured magnitude 4.1.

The seismic activity’s epicenter was the Citoren village, and it was recorded 5 kilometers beneath the surface.

To note, the earthquakes that hit Van on October 23 and November 9, 2011, had claimed 672 lives and injured more than 6,000 people.
