YEREVAN. – Armenian side sees no other alternatives than the OSCE Minsk Group for the peace settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said on Tuesday at the joint meeting with the European Commission President José Manuel Barroso.

“Regardless from the election processes of the states included in the settlement of Karabakh peace process, the Armenian side is loyal to the continuation of talks within the OSCE MG and the completion of works for the Basic Principles. Only after it we can speak about talks on the ‘framework agreement.’ Talks are incompatible with war propaganda, national independence and acquiring weapons of unprecedented measures.

Armenia has always stressed importance of direct contacts with the Karabakh authorities and periodic visits of the EU representatives to Karabakh. We have for many times stressed that Katabakh is a part of European family and the carrier of its values, supporter of the formation of social order based on democracy, human rights protection and rule of law,” Sargsyan said.
