YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Rescue Service received a distress call, on Tuesday, informing that a Toyota was stranded in a strong blizzard on the Goris-Shinuhayr Highway. 

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene, the Rescue Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

The rescuers also brought back onto to the road a Mercedes (with driver G. Kartashyan), VAZ 2106 (with driver A. Harutyunyan), Toyota Prado (with driver Gevorgyan), and a Jeep Cherokee (with driver H. Khachatryan). 

On the same day, the Recue Service received another distress call informing that sixty vehicles were caught in a snowstorm on the Hnaberd-Geghadir Highway, that there was a resultant traffic jam, and rescuers were needed.    

A rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

And the fire and rescue squad brought back onto the road eleven automobiles, with thirty-four passengers. The traffic has resumed.
