YEREVAN. – Moscow cinema will hold the solemn opening ceremony of the 10th British film festival on Saturday in Yerevan. UK Ambassador Katherine Jane Leach, head of the British Council Armenia Arevik Saribekyan, and British film producer Michael White will deliver speeches.

“Chariots of Fire” will open the Festival at Moscow Cinema. The film is based on a real story and highlights the fight between two athletes at the 1924 Olympic Games.

The films will be screened in three cities of Armenia: Gyumri, Berd and Vanadzor on Mar. 1-11.

Film screenings will be held on Mar. 10-19 in Yerevan. The festival is organized by the British Council and the British Embassy in Armenia.
