Three successive earthquakes rattled the Province of Van, Turkey, on Sunday evening.

The first was recorded in the Province’s Sarikoy village, at 5:20 p.m., the second was registered in the Yukari Molla Hasan village, at 6:36 p.m., and the third occurred in the Yunkusak village, at 8:28 p.m. These quakes measured magnitude 3.2, 3.7, and 4.3 in that order. 

A total of sixteen seismic activities were recorded in the Province of Van all through Sunday.

To note, the earthquakes that hit Van on October 23 and November 9, 2011, had claimed 672 lives and injured more than 6,000 people.
