YEREVAN. – No US dollar trading was conducted at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Wednesday. But it was offered at a lower exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), than Tuesday’s mean.
Tuesday’s average offer exchange rate was AMD 390/$1, whereas Wednesday’s maximum was AMD 389.95/$1. But even the cheaper dollar was not purchased, since its demand did not pass AMD 389/$1.
And at Armenia’s cash foreign currency market the dollar devalued by close to AMD 0.50, already by Wednesday morning, and its sale was at AMD 390.5/$1. And in the afternoon, the dollar’s purchase exchange rate likewise dropped and reached until AMD 388/$1.
