YEREVAN. – The Republic of Korea’s (South Korea) newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Wi Son Lak, on Thursday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.   

Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed a hope that Wi Son Lak will use his experience and potential to the utmost to deepen relations between Armenia and South Korea, the President’s Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

Afterward, the interlocutors stressed that the bilateral political discourse and mutual visits bespeak the two sides’ wish to further strengthen and deepen the relations. They also underscored the need to augment collaboration within international organizations and in the domains of trade, economy, and culture.   

The South Korean ambassador noted with delight that he arrived in Armenia on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between both countries, and that he is commissioned to continue with and enhance the achievements. 

Ambassador Wi Son Lak also expressed a conviction that President Serzh Sargsyan’s upcoming visit to the Republic of Korea will improve the Armenian-South Korean political dialogue.
