Concerning natural disasters Armenia is threatened by droughts, early spring frostbites, hail, flooding, landslides, strong winds and forest fires, this is stated in the government’s national strategy for disaster risk reduction statement. One third of the country land is in danger of landslides. During 2004-2007 floods caused damage to 200 places. Droughts cause the worst damage to agriculture.
