YEREVAN. – Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia rejected to launch administrative proceedings upon the application of opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) member Khachatur Sukiasyan.

CEC chairman Tigran Mukuchyan said that the addressee is not the CEC but the District Electoral Commission N 10 where the application was re-addressed.

To note, Sukiasyan asked the CEC to register him as a candidate, without taking into account the fact that he was absent for 10 months and 20 days from Armenia over the recent five years, as police claimed.

In addition, Sukiasyan with his brother Saribek Sukiasyan and ruling Republican member Garegin Nushikyan run for MP seat in N 10 district.
