YEREVAN. – Ruling coalition member Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan revealed to the journalists the mystery of the ‘weapon’ ahead to the election campaign for the Armavir voters.
Tsarukyan was especially interested in the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent, as the agency has allegedly claimed that Tsarukyan participates in the elections with weapon [Tsarukyan claims it was his VERTU mobile]. Hence, blamed the agency for carrying out an order.

Armenian News-NEWS.am presents the chronology of the events.

First the agency published news on why Tsarukyan kneed down during the election campaign on April 13. The article contained no information on the mobile phone. Later the media outlets actively circulated that the PAP leader had a weapon, hence the agency published another article entitled Tsarukyan participates in the campaign with weapon or a phone. In the article Tsarukyan’s spokesperson Khachik Galstyan rejected the rumors.

However, Armenia’s former FM, PAP member Vardan Oskanyan confirmed on Wednesday that Tsarukyan indeed went for the campaign with a weapon and added that it is everybody’s right to carry it legally. In addition, the agency has never insisted that Tsarukyan had a weapon. Such commentaries came by people after they watched the video. The video shows a weapon, even Oskanyan, the second person of the party, claims it as such.
