The 8th European Political Community Summit will kick off Monday in Yerevan under the motto "Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe."

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has arrived at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, where the event will be held.

The summit will be attended by top figures from European countries, as well as heads of international organizations. In total, the European Political Community unites leaders from about 50 countries.

The event will also be attended by European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

The first summit of the European Political Community took place on October 6, 2022 in Prague.

In addition to the European Political Community Summit, the EU-Armenia Summit will also be held in Yerevan on Monday and Tuesday, during which the parties will discuss deepening bilateral cooperation, regional security, and key international challenges.

It was announced that the meeting will become an important milestone in the development of EU-Armenia relations and will be aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation, as well as strengthening peace, connectivity and economic development in the South Caucasus region.

During the talks, the leaders will discuss expanding cooperation in areas such as energy, transport, digital technology, and infrastructure connectivity. Particular attention will be paid to current global challenges, including the situation around Ukraine and the consequences of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

Following the summit, it is planned to adopt a joint statement, as well as sign a number of documents aimed at further developing the EU-Armenia partnership.

In addition, French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in Armenia on a three-day state visit, where he will also participate in the European Political Community summit.
