Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics has arrived in Armenia on an official visit.

An official welcoming ceremony is currently underway at the Presidential Palace of Armenia.

Earlier, we reported that Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics visited the Armenian Genocide memorial in Yerevan on Thursday morning and paid tribute to the victims of the genocide.

Rinkevics laid a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, and laid flowers at the eternal flame.

The Latvian parliament officially recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide, with a special statement on May 6, 2021.

Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics arrived in Armenia on an official visit on Thursday. Within the framework of his visit, he will meet with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, National Assembly speaker Alen Simonyan, as well as members of Armenian youth organizations.
