From the first day until today, including this morning, these arrests have been continuing. The pressure continues, but I think that it will not particularly affect the opinion of the Armenian people. The Strong Armenia bloc’s prime ministerial candidate—businessman and philanthropist—Samvel Karapetyan, told this reporters during Sunday’s parliamentary elections.

According to him, today the Armenian people will make the right choice, and Armenia will finally have a legitimate government.

Also, the PM Contender answered the question of whether he will return to Russia in case of defeat in the elections.

"I will not return anywhere. I will work in Armenia for 10 years. Don't worry. I have a lot of work," the politician noted.

Answering the question of whether a peaceful transfer of power will be ensured in the event of the opposition's victory in the elections, the prime ministerial candidate suggested excluding the "if" and simply waiting for Monday morning.

The candidate for prime minister of the Strong Armenia bloc also answered the question on what his confidence in the defeat of the current authorities in the parliamentary elections is based on.

“Today you will see what our confidence was based on. Today we will all see it,” Karapetyan said.

According to him, he voted for a consolidated and united Armenia.

“We all together must consolidate our people, our country, consolidate our diaspora again around our homeland, their homeland. So if there is such an opportunity, I will be very happy,” the politician said.

Karapetyan also responded to the question about the threats made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to the leaders of Armenia’s opposition.

“Neither I nor [ex-president and ‘Armenia’ bloc PM candidate Robert] Kocharyan are even going to leave Armenia. So he [i.e. Pashinyan], realizing this, speaks in his own way,” Samvel Karapetyan said.
