Second President of Armenia and the candidate for prime minister of the "Armenia" bloc, Robert Kocharyan, voted in the name of Armenia in the parliamentary elections being held in the country Sunday. He announced this to reporters after casting his ballot.
When asked in the name of which Armenia, the politician said: national, protected, safe, prosperous.
Kocharyan said that he highly assesses the opposition's chances and reiterated that the “Armenia” bloc's program envisages radical changes in the country.
In response to criticism about inaction in the previous parliament, Kocharyan reminded that the “Armenia” bloc did not have a sufficient number of parliamentary seats, but, nevertheless, it was the one that was acting from the most pronounced opposition positions.
"I expect changes, good changes," Robert Kocharyan noted.
"There is truly a need to stop the series of losses, retreats from principles, loss of sovereignty," he added.
