Russia prefers to wait for the official results of the parliamentary vote in Armenia before congratulating Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his victory in the elections, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a press briefing Tuesday.

“It is important to wait for the final official results,” the Kremlin spokesperson said. “However, we prefer to wait for some official conclusions.”

According to Peskov, since numerous violations were reported from Armenia during the voting, official data are now of particular importance.
