Recently in Armenia, simply presenting a political platform has already become a crime, and there's generally no need to even dig into what exactly you'll be accused of. This was stated in a video message by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the council of the "Strong Armenia" party.

"We are ready for these difficulties. I've said it once, and I'll say it again: it is a greater honor for our struggle to be on the other side of the bars than on this side. Armenia is going to be a country where political persecution and criminal cases will no longer serve to deter people from political activity, and where law enforcement bodies will work to ensure there is real rule of law in the country," Karapetyan said.

In his remarks, he made clear that there is nothing complicated about going to prison: "For me and my teammates, there is no difficult path — we are going to go, we are going to continue this process, because this is part of a bigger story, a bigger regional development, whose goals are entirely different."
