Currently, Armenia is focused on the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, as a result of which regional connectivity will be fully opened, as Armenia has been in a de facto blockade since the early 1990s. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Tuesday stated this during a panel discussion of the Concordia Annual Summit held within the framework of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

First of all, Armenia will have a railway connection with Azerbaijan, and they are eagerly waiting for the border of Armenia with Turkey to reopen and, within this framework, the railway connection between Armenia and Turkey to reopen. And in the general framework, this will change international logistics, because the international community will gain a new route between the East and the West, Pashinyan said.

He spoke also about the Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” project, noting that as a parallel result of TRIPP, a railway connection between the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea will also be opened. A few years ago, the Armenian government created a project called “Crossroads of Peace,” they even have the branding, and all this together makes this project a reality, the Armenian premier added.
