It is important for Armenia to improve the knowledge and skills of local mining specialists, as well as internal procedures. Kazakh expert in geology and subsoil use, CRIRSCO representative Nikolai Yenshin on Saturday stated this during the Mining Armenia Forum 2026 in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia.

He proposed five priorities for the development of Armenia's mining industry. According to the expert, it is essential to clarify the goals of state and investor involvement in the accountability process, define the scope of competences of specialists, as well as publish a guide to practical steps, taking into account archival and historical data.

Also, Yenshin noted the possibility of introducing an experimental system for protecting professional autonomy.

“All these efforts should be consistent with international experience,” he explained.

The co-organizers of Mining Armenia Forum 2026 are the Mining Forum Development Foundation and the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association. The strategic sponsors of the forum, which is being held for the third time, are the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine and the Lydian Armenia company, and the main sponsors are Ameriabank and Teghout CJSC.
