Imagine your favorite traditional Armenian song transferred into a rock and attach an Armenian woman singing it. This is the combination on which Armenian rock singer, Eileen Khatchadourian, has found her unique style, The Armenian Mirror-Spectator reports.  Born in Beirut, she decided to become singer, more precisely, a rock star. She is already popular in Lebanon and aspires to expand her auditorium in the US. Her first album “Midan” won the “Best Rock Album” award at the Armenian Music Awards in Los Angeles in 2009. Transforming traditional Armenian songs into rock, she gives the familiar melodies a new birth. Khatchadourian intends to release her second album next March. It will include several songs in English, along with the Sardarapat song and some songs of her own original compositions. However, the focus of the album will remain her Armenian identity. At the same time, the singer wishes to perform in Armenia, Europe and the United States.
