YEREVAN. – The matter of raising the price of the Russian natural gas being supplied to Armenia should be looked at in the following context: What was the real situation and what was the end result owing to the talks?

Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan stated the above-said on Tuesday. He expressed a view that the end result of the gas price talks is quite positive.

“Under the situation that was created, the rise in the price of gas is perhaps the most positive result we achieved,” Harutyunyan said, but added that the salaries and the pensions likewise are expected to increase.

As per Harutyunyan, his ministry will carry out programs toward raising the salaries of the staff of Armenia’s special protection areas.

“In 2013, we have serious program solutions that will result in quarterly bonuses as well as more effective organization of activities,” the minister concluded.
