YEREVAN. – The “Let’s stop the gas hike” citizens’ initiative members on Tuesday submitted 15,000 signatures to the Administrative Court of Armenia.    

The initiative members demand that the lawsuit, which is filed against the increase in the natural gas and electricity prices, be examined in public court sessions and the signatories be recognized as a third party.  

“The 15,000 signatures, which we collected during these three weeks, are the necessary legal basis for the court to permit for the verbal examination of this case,” activist, ex-presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan told reporters.         

To note, overall, more than 20,000 people have signed against the increased prices of natural gas and electricity in Armenia.
