YEREVAN. – The opposition Armenian National Congress’ (ANC) march on Tuesday, and devoted to Human Rights Day which is marked on December 10, reached a Russian VTB Bank branch in capital city Yerevan.

In front of the bank branch, the protesters whistled and showed the finger toward the branch (PHOTOS).

To note, VTB Bank funds the ACP Company, which will operate the proposed Teghut copper and molybdenum mine in Armenia.  

Aside from calls to end human rights abuses and the resignation of the incumbent authorities in Armenia, the march participants were chanting, “Freedom for Armenian Police” and “The police are ours, but they are in [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s hand. 

The protesters are returning to Liberty Square, where the march had begun, and where they will end Tuesday’s march.
