Information was received, on Thursday at 12։30am, from the Ambulance service of Armenia’s Vanadzor city.  

According to the information, the dead body of Romanian citizen Ioan Deias (born in 1960) was taken to the Vanadzor morgue.

It was found out that Deias was a truck driver and, according to preliminary assumption, he had tried to put chains around the tires of his truck, at Vanadzor-Alaverdi Highway, but he was run over by a vehicle, informs the Armenian News-NEWS.am Lori regional reporter.      

Traffic police and an operative team were dispatched to the scene of the incident. 

According to preliminary data, the Romanian citizen was run over by a Ford, whose driver fled the scene. 

The suspected vehicle is being searched. An investigation is underway.
