YEREVAN. – Some demonstrators protesting against gas agreement with Russia were detained and later released by police on Friday, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported. (PHOTOS)
Activists say one of the protesters, Anton Ivaschenko, was detained with his nose broken. He was taken to Arabkir police department. Deputy chief of Yerevan police Valery Osipyan arrived at the scene. The demonstrators welcomed him by chanting “bastard”.
