YEREVAN. – Leader of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan said he would ignore the rally honoring memory of victims of the March 1 tragic events.
“This is not a rally, but gathering of Levon's [former president Levon Ter-Petrosyan] supporters. March 1 is a day when force was used against people to preserve power. Some political forces speculating over March 1 events are trying to gain dividends,” Hayrikyan told reporters.
Nevertheless, representatives of the party handed over a letter to the president demanding punishment for those guilty for March 1 events.
