YEREVAN. – It usually takes minimum 2-3 years to open Carrefour hypermarket in a country, country manager of Carrefour Armenia Christian De Nale told reporters on Wednesday (photos).

“In any country it takes minimum 2-3 years to open Carrefour hypermarket. You are going to discover that we have implemented sales area with new assets, new interior, new concept, and this takes time,” he said.

Christian De Nale emphasized that his policy is to get priority to Armenian producers.

“We have highlighted the products. The ratio of products that we are going to import by ourselves is lower than five percent,” he added.

Earlier on Wednesday President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended the official opening of the first Armenian branch of the world-renowned French Carrefour hypermarket chain.
