The specialized orphanage of New Kharberd, the physically challenged children of Special School No. 17 in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, and the residents of the children’s home in Gyumri city have received new wheelchairs.
The President of Grand Candy Company, Karen Vardanyan, presented them 62 wheelchairs that were made in Italy and Greece.
The project costs AMD 16 million (approx. $33,246).
The director of New Kharberd Orphanage, Harutyun Balasanyan, noted that the physicians said these wheelchairs are quite comfortable and easy to use.
And the administration of Special School No. 17 assured that the school had no need for wheelchairs any more.
