YEREVAN. – Protest action against electricity price rise organized by “No to Plunder” initiative is about to start in Liberty Square of Yerevan (PHOTO).

Numerous activists, members of Prosperous Armenia faction Vahan Babayan and Vahe Enfiyajyan, leader of the Republic party Aram Sargsyan and many citizens wishing to speak out against electricity price hike have gathered in the square.

MP Vahe Enfiyajyan said the lawmakers had drafted a document that would be soon submitted to the Public Services Regulatory Commission.

The rally will be followed by a march in downtown Yerevan.

The demonstrators are joined by members of Founding Parliament, former and incumbent workers of Nairit rubber plant.

Similar demonstrations are being held throughout Armenia.
