YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received information, on Monday at 6:27am and from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, that a traffic accident had occurred at 2:55am nearby Armavir, Russia. 

Accordingly, a minibus, which was heading from Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan to Anapa city of Russia, had gone off road and crashed into a tree.

According to preliminary data, there were twenty people inside the vehicle.

There are two dead: Armen Ghukasyan—the second driver, who was born in 1978—, whereas the second casualty has net yet been identified.

Thirteen others sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital in Armavir.

The injured are 18-year-old Ester Broyan, 40-year-old Svetlana Balgina, 53-year-old Gyulizara Khudoyan, 55-year-old Hrach Khachatryan, 22-year-old Karlen Ghukasyan, 52-year-old Vazgen Poghosyan, 46-year-old Serzh Pokuyan, 17-year-old Armen Hovhannisyan, 21-year-old Artsrun Harutyunyan, Beyrusyan—whose name and date of birth is being determined—, Poghosyan—whose name and date of birth is being determined—, and 55-year-old Beybutsyan. The information on the other person is being determined.

Doctors say the Poghosyans are in critical condition, and the others are in moderate critical condition.

The other five passengers continued their journey.
