One person is dead and more than forty other are injured during the clash between the police and demonstrators in Downtown Beirut.
Mass demonstrations began in the Lebanese capital city on August 22, and due to the “garbage crisis.”
For the past several months, the country’s authorities have failed to remove enormous heaps of garbage from the Beirut streets, and as a result, the entire city has turned into a dump.
Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of Beirut this weekend as part of the “You Stink” campaign directed at the government.
The protesters demand the government to resign.
