The footages presented by NTV show a group of young men standing on the road. At one moment, one of them takes out a weapon and starts firing. The young men scatter after hearing the shooting sounds.
The incident took place early morning near the Kachinsky market in Dzerzhinsky region of Russia’s Volgograd city. The conflict sparked after a taxi driver refused to drive a group of well-drunk young men, who were returning from a wedding, the law enforcement authorities told LifeNews. Hearing a refusal, they beat the taxi driver, who called his relative for help. According to the preliminary information, the latter was the one who opened fire at the attackers from a gun.
Consequently, one man died and six were injured. Among the injured is Armenian Armen Yeghiazaryan, 22, who was wounded on his right shoulder, and was taken to police department after receiving first aid. Another Armenian, Vlad Jerjikhanyan, 24, received a firearm wound on his left hip, and was also taken to the police department.
Criminal case has been launched into the incident.
