Engineers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have invented a camera that can shoot 1 trillion frames per second; this is virtually 42 million times faster than an ordinary camera.
The respective video shows the experimental underwater shooting of photos at a speed of 966 million km/h. In fact, however, this took only a nanosecond, reported the National Geographic.
One nanosecond is to one second as one second is to 31.71 years.
