YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday elected Deputy Minister of Justice Arman Tatoyan to the office of Human Rights Defender of Armenia.
Tatoyan’s respective candidacy was approved by a secret ballot, and a vote of 96 for and 7 against.
The Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the NA that 107 MPs took part in the voting, and 4 ballots were declared invalid.
Subsequently, Arman Tatoyan was sworn in as the new Ombudsman of Armenia.
