PreferredSTEPANAKERT. – Azerbaijan, despite its statements, continues gross violations of the international law shelling peaceful settlements and posing threat to the civilians and journalists.
The Azerbaijani army shelled the city of Martakert from artillery weapons. The Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent, together with other reporters, came under fire in Martakert.
According to the agency’s correspondent, Azerbaijani artillery opened targeted fire on the residential area and especially the school. It is clear that Azerbaijan made civilians a target of their aggression. One of the mortars fell not far from the journalists.
As reported earlier, Azerbaijani defense ministry announced the decision to unilaterally cease the fire. The statement was called misinformation in Stepanakert and in Yerevan.
