YEREVAN. – The Petrosyan family consisting of five people arrived in Charentsavan two months ago, barely managing to get out of Talish, a village near the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces.
In an interview with the correspondent of Armenian News - NEWS.am Sos Petrosyan noted that three minor children and two elderly people who are the members of his family spent a few hours in the cold and dark basement of their two-storey house on the night of April 2.
When the shooting stopped for a few minutes, they took all necessary things and left native village.
“Azerbaijanis fired at the village from shells to destroy the population. We waited until dawn, thinking that they would calm down then and we could get out of the village. At sunrise, we got into the car and left. We barely got out of Talish under explosions of shells”, Sos Petrosyan said.
He noted that he visited the native village more than once within 2 months, he also said that everything is simply unrecognizable: houses are destroyed and robbed, the village is empty and sad ...
“The future is very uncertain, but the fact that we will return to Talish again at the first opportunity is unambiguous”, he assured.
