The daughter of one of the architects of Zvartnots airport Anahit Tarkhanyan, several architects, and some Armenian citizens on July 8 marched to the Argentine Embassy in Yerevan from the Liberty Square protesting against the demolition of the old building of Zvartnots airport.

The NEWS.am reports that the protesters will submit a request to the Embassy of Argentina to disclose the Argentine businessman Eduardo Eurnekian’s activities related to the modernization of Zvartnots airport.

"We demand to reveal the actions of Eurnekian and prevent demolition of the airport, since the contract only gives the right to modernize the airport, but he destroys it,” said Ananyan Ghukasyan, a member of “New Armenia” Public Safety Front.

The participants of the demonstration had posters in their hands and were marching towards the Argentine Embassy voicing "Eurnekian is a criminal," "Stop Eurnekian". The demonstration was guarded by the police.

Note, that the concessionaire of the Zvartnots airport started demolition of the overpass , which caused discontent among the public.
