NICE. – Speaking with the correspondent of the Armenian News -NEWS.am, Polina Tony who intended to watch the fireworks with friends noted that they were on the promenade when the truck hit the crowd.

They heard firing, someone opened the door to the nearest house and they run into the building sat there for 15 minutes until all this was over.

Anna told the news agency that she was sitting on the terrace, having dinner, and she saw how the driver was driving and  ramming everything.  She also added that cannot get over the shock. Nobody understood what was going on, someone jumped into the sea, people ran away to the beach, someone rushed into the building nearby.

One of the residents of the Nice Christina told Armenian News-NEWS.am that Nice is shocked. She thanks God that she did not go to the promenade. Now, everything is blocked, the beaches are closed. A hospital is organized in the club  which is in front of the promenade, there the first aid was provided.

A truck had ploughed into crowd in high speed in downtown Nice on Thursday night, during Bastille Day celebrations. Subsequently, its driver opened fire on people before police shot him dead. Large quantities of weapons and explosives were found in the truck. According to most recent reports, 84 people are dead and 18 others are in critical condition as a result of this terror attack.

The driver was a French citizen born in Tunisia. He was 31 years old. Previously come to the attention of police for disorderly conduct and theft.
