YEREVAN. - An incident took place in Yerevan’s Liberty Square on Friday.
Film director Gayane Gasparyan, whose speech was interrupted during the previous rally for making offensive announcements with regard to Karabakh people, broke through the crowd with a microphone in her hand and began speaking without permission, Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent reports.
Hayazn Party member Armen Hovhannisyan, who is the rally leader, tried to obstruct her actions, but Gasparyan was full of determination to deliver her speech till the end.
“People, “Armenian Mothers” are not allowed to speak; this is a provocation,” the woman cried.
Hovhannisyan announced that the incident is a provocation, and that only persons who have received the permission of Sasna Tsrer Political Council have a right to deliver a speech. He also banned another man to make a speech, noting that he was under the influence.
Displeased voices and even offenses addressed to Hovhannisyan were heard from among the crowd.
He announced that the march will pass along Yerevan’s Koryun and Nalbandyan streets to the Republic Square from where it would return to Liberty Square.
