YEREVAN. – No phase in the talks can come to an end without the will of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

Vahram Baghdasaryan, head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction, on Tuesday stated the aforesaid to reporters at the NA.

When noted by the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter that, according to Ambassador James Warlick, US Co-Chair of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, the avenue for resolving the Karabakh conflict is the handing of some territories to Azerbaijan, in exchange for “Karabakh’s status” and asked what the latter means, Baghdasaryan responded: “Naturally, each OSCE Minsk Group country [i.e. Russia, US, and France] shall express its views.

“We [i.e. Armenia] have clearly expressed our view and we will repeat again; the President also said about it: no negotiating phase can come to an end without the will of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. And there is no decision and no document, at this moment; they are just wishes and proposals.

“There is no certainty, yet. They are views expressed by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.”
