YEREVAN. – The newly appointed Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, on Thursday chaired his first Cabinet session (PHOTOS).
Karapetyan noted that tax inspections in the country shall be conducted solely at risky enterprises.
In his words, to conduct a better tax collection, the State Revenue Committee needs to more closely monitor how major companies, including importers, pay taxes.
As per the new PM, unscrupulous companies should not consider themselves, or be perceived by society, as the privileged.
“On the other hand, the small and medium-sized business enterprises should be exempt from inspections as much as possible,” stressed Karen Karapetyan. “Moreover, the inspections should not cause additional inconvenience for businesses.”
