YEREVAN. – Artur Davtyan has been elected prosecutor general by a secret ballot in the National Assembly on Thursday.
Members of the Armenian National Congress and Prosperous Armenia did not participate in the vote.
After the vote Artur Davtyan said he realizes responsibility and will do his best to justify hopes.
Former Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan handed over resignation on August 4.
