YEREVAN. – Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, who is in New York City within the framework of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, on Wednesday met with Lilja Alfreðsdóttir, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Iceland.

The avenues for developing cooperation between the two countries were touched upon during the talk, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

An importance was attached to the formation of legal framework, organization of mutual visits, intensification of parliamentary contacts, cooperation within international organizations, and expansion of economic ties between Armenia and Iceland.
