YEREVAN. - When I visit prisons, I don't take photos there for the sake of appearenaces.  

Acting Justice Minister of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan said the aforementioned to journalists in the parliament on Monday.

Asked why there is no official information on those visits, while less significant occasions are publicized, Hovhannisyan said: ''I visit penitentiary institutions in the framework of my work, and not in order to convince someone of something.''

The prison conditions are improving, and the official information on this should be trusted, she added.
